James Coffee Studios is pleased to introduce Framing Stilly's Barn.  This 260 page book documents with photographs the transformation of the basic material...wood...into a 'timber frame' for a barn.

These photographs, which span time from August through October 2004, give insight into the art of timber framing.

Creating this book was wonderfully difficult for me.  I had many images to choose from.  I had initially chosen over 300 images.  Feeling that 300 was too many I went through the "image justification" process, culling out a mere 50.  Many of these images, if they were to stand alone, would be a mystery.  However, sequenced within this book I believe that all images stand proud and that they tell an exciting and interesting story.  I hope others will agree.

I personally own a copy of this book and am extremely pleased with it's quality and with the printing services provided by Blurb.  And of course I am pleased with the content and the story told.

A note about the pricing:  to some this book may seem expensive.  This book is printed by Blurb, an on-demand printing company.  My share of the selling price is $10.00.  Blurb keeps the remainder (and I think deservedly so).
